Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drive key operational initiatives that deliver best-in-class clinical operations and outcomes in primary care across markets
Drive strengthening of the Primary Care clinical and operational model and build towards a scalable model across markets, with insight around which factors vary significantly by markets
Work across a mix of areas, including market and division performance management, clinical operations, analytics, population health (clinical programs & quality)
Support health plan partner collaboration across core operational areas (network, case management, utilization management) with market general managers and regional medical officers
Support all operational activities and resource efficiency within the local markets
Working closely with regional and local market clinical leaders to exceed clinical outcomes goals that live up to CareMore standards
Analyzing financial and operational data to uncover performance issues and leading the execution of improvement opportunities
Analyzing department budget requests and supporting management of both division and local operating budgets

Familiarity with the healthcare space, terminology and dynamics
Strong strategic and operational analytic capabilities
Applicable
Experience: Top care delivery, management consulting, finance, or business strategy firms; healthcare / care delivery strategy & operations; top-tier MBA/MPH/MHA programs
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; Master's is strongly preferred

CareMore's Primary Care & Collaboration division oversees strategy, operations, and care delivery in our primary care business (Des Moines, IA and Memphis, TN), where CareMore builds and runs capitated primary care medical groups that currently serve over 20,000 high-risk Medicaid patients in two states, and new models of care and markets that are under active development. We are rapidly evolving our model to effectively engage and care for complex patients and are building a team of passionate and execution-minded leaders dedicated to this mission.
The Primary Care Operations Manager will serve as a strategic operations manager for key initiatives within CareMore's Primary Care & Collaboration markets. The Primary Care Operations Manager will be directly responsible for a portfolio of operational initiatives that deliver clinical operational excellence in support of the triple aim and CareMore's objectives, as well as design and execution of new paradigms in our business and care model, such as telemedicine and home-based care. The Primary Care Operations Manager will join our new strategic operations group focused on building a scalable, high impact model in Primary Care for complex populations and will report to the Staff VP, Primary Care Operations on a permanent basis, and on an interim basis, the Chief Medical Officer for Primary Care & Collaboration. He/she will partner closely with CareMore Primary Care & Collaboration leaders, including market general managers & regional medical officers, other business and clinical leaders with market teams, and CareMore leadership across divisions (e.g. finance, analytics) to drive impact.
Work location and travel expectations:
New York, New York preferred. Position requires travel to support Memphis, TN, Des Moines, IA, Los Angeles, CA and new expansion markets as implemented.
